Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) held talks with the visiting Michael Schwager, Director General of IP Australia. The two offices introduced the latest progress of IP work in their respective countries, conducted in-depth discussions on related topics, and jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation.
Shen noted that this year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of cooperative relationship between the Chinese and Australian IP offices. It is hoped that the two offices will continue to enhance their understanding of each other, further deepen cooperation and share experiences on issues of mutual concern to provide high-quality and efficient services for both innovators.
Schwager highly praised the achievements of the cooperation between the two offices and took the signing of the MoU as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, share resources, learn from each other and develop together.
CNIPA principal officials responsible for relevant departments also attended the meeting.
