Ms. Li graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic and Information Engineering. She then pursued a postgraduate program in Computer Technology at Nanyang Technological University and obtained a Master of Science degree. After graduation, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Engineering at Tunghai University in Taiwan for two years. After that, she decided to return to the Chinese mainland and joined KDDI as a software engineer. Two years later, she joined the company’s IP Department, where she has been practicing in the intellectual property industry ever since.

 

Ms. Li started working as a patent attorney at Chuanmo in 2013 and became a partner in 2022. So far, she has been responsible for and involved in handling more than 600 cases of patent application, patent invalidation, patent layout, trademark application, copyright application, infringement counseling, etc. She has served well-known enterprises such as Southern University of Science and Technology, Guangzhou Baolun Electronics, Skyworth, Midea, Will Semiconductor, Hangzhou Silan Microelectronics, etc.

 

In particular, it should be emphasized that Ms. Li has a strong IP litigation and enforcement practice in the Greater China area and cross border IP disputes. She is very familiar with international filings, especially in Asia. She has handled more than 300 patent applications in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, etc. Her practice includes advising clients on all aspects of IP management, enforcement and protection strategies in a wide range of industries and technologies, including communications technology, microelectronics, semiconductors, chip manufacturing, power electronics, control systems, industrial automation, digital technology, information technology, design software, network engineering, artificial intelligence and so forth.

 

Having worked on diverse types of matters ranging from drafting patent application, patent prosecution, patent invalidation to IP portfolio management, Ms. Li is capable of identifying different issues that may arise out of a matter and providing advice. Her extensive experience of negotiating, reviewing, and drafting applications for domestic and foreign universities, research institutions, state-owned corporations, SMEs, and startups is invaluable to our clients. Ms. Li takes each case seriously and strives to treat all clients equally, being able to put herself in her clients’ shoes and work in their best interests. As a result, her professionalism and quality of service have been well acknowledged by her clients.
