Thomas graduated from Sun Yat-sen Medical University (now Sun Yat-sen Medical College of Sun Yat-sen University) with a Master's degree in Bioengineering. With his solid professional skills, Thomas worked for Guangzhou Phar. Holdings as a R&D director.

Prior to joining Chuanmo, he was the head of the Guangzhou office of a large IP firm in Beijing. As a senior patent attorney in the industry, Thomas has provided patent search, patent layout and domestic and foreign patent application services for Southern University of Science and Technology, Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Factory and Shenzhen Batian Ecotypic Engineering Co., Ltd. For which 15 years he has provided quality and stable services and has built up a solid chain  of clients, which is well known in the industry. Thomas joined Chuanmo as a partner in 2022 with the goal of providing in-depth foreign patent services to clients through Chuanmo's rich experience in foreign prosecution.

Decades of experience in patent matters in the field of high technology have shaped Thomas profound personal understanding of the technological developments and patent status in the  relevant field. It is his aim to protect the legal rights and economic interests of his clients. He specializes in the fields of bioengineering, chemical engineering, genetic engineering, pharmaceuticals, and mechanics, etc. Thomas has extensive experience in patent practice, including drafting patent applications, responding to examination opinions, and handling patent rejection reexaminations. He also specializes in patent search analysis and patent infringement litigation. He has extensive front-line experience in handling difficult patent cases and is able to provide clients with targeted professional advice. Among the many cases Thomas has handled in the past, a representative case is his counseling for Baiyunshan Pharmaceutical Company, which provided constructive advice on the company's overseas market layout and related legal assistance, and his professional ability is trusted and recognized by the clients.
