Megan Xiong graduated from Tianjin University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in Energy and Power Engineering. She worked as a senior HVAC engineer at Guangdong Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., where she acquired extensive technical knowledge. In particular, she has a solid professional foundation and rich research experience in green energy-related technologies and electromechanical equipment and automation. After that, Ms. Xiong joined the fast-growing industry of Intellectual Property as a patent attorney. 

With more than 10 years of experience in the IP industry, Ms. Xiong has strong practical experience in patent portfolio planning and cross-border IP services. She has served a lot of well-known enterprises at home and abroad. She provides advice on IP management and strategies to the large enterprises (e.g. Midea, Hanwha, etc.) and the start-up companies in the Greater Bay Area, covering a broad technical range of thermal energy and power engineering, energy and power machinery, architectural environment and energy, refrigeration air-conditioning & cryogenic engineering, technology of mechanical manufacture and medical & diagnosis apparatus, etc. She is good at digging deeply into the patentability of the products and technologies with their R&D departments and providing optimal patent filing strategies with her excellent communication skills.          

Over the years, Ms. Xiong has successfully handled hundreds of patent applications. She has strong capability in patent searching and analyzing, patent application drafting, response to office action, re-examination and patent infringement litigation, etc. In 2020, she was selected as one of the top 100 outstanding female patent attorneys in China by the China Intellectual Property Magazine. Her professionalism and dedication have been highly recognized by both the industry and the clients.
