Chinese brand Double Fish Sports will make its debut as an exclusive supplier of table tennis balls for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. This year, Double Fish Sports Group has exported more than 6 million yuan worth of sporting goods to over 20 countries and regions, marking a 15.2% year-on-year increase. In recent years, the company has expanded into apparel, accessories and sporting equipment sectors and enhanced its global brand exposure by sporting event sponsorships and collaborative partnerships with various IPs.

On the afternoon of May 30, Chinese President Xi Jinping and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on intellectual property cooperation between the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the UAE Ministry of Economy in the Great Hall of the People of Beijing. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the CNIPA, and Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Trade, signed the memorandum of understanding on behalf of their respective IP authorities.

The 2024 Meeting of IP5 Deputy Heads of Office was held via video conference recently. The meeting was hosted by the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) who held this year's presidency, with Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), leading the Chinese delegation. The meeting was chaired by Kim Shi-Hyeong, Vice Commissioner of the KIPO with Christoph Ernst, Vice President of the the European Patent Office (EPO), Katsura Masanori, Deputy Commissioner of the Japanese Patent Office (JPO), and Valencia Martin Wallace, Deputy Commissioner of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) leading delegations respectively. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) also sent representatives to the meeting as observers.
